We are seeking a strong, experienced IT Operations Supervisor to take full ownership of our IT support and operations function. This role requires a hands-on leader with the authority and confidence to establish structure, enforce processes, improve communication, and hold technicians accountable for performance, reporting, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish clear communication channels, reporting structures, and daily operational routines
- Enforce adherence to internal processes, service standards, and response times
- Act as the single point of accountability between technicians and management
- Manage technician performance, discipline, and workload allocation
- Resolve internal conflicts and eliminate communication breakdowns
- Introduce structure: job cards, escalation paths, documentation, and feedback loops
- Ensure technicians report progress, issues, and delays proactively
- Proven experience managing and disciplining technical staff
- Comfortable enforcing rules, deadlines, and accountability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate under pressure and make firm decisions
Requirements
- Proven experience in an IT technician or support role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead position.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems, networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and data protection.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively under pressure.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Ubiquiti/Unifi) are a plus.
