Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales, marketing, procurement and logistics strategies for maize meal products across wholesale, retail, and institutional markets.
- Drive volume growth, market penetration, and profitability in line with company targets.
- Manage pricing strategies, trade discounts, and promotional activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, retailers and other stakeholders.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales, marketing, procurement and logistics teams, including performance monitoring and target setting
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategy.
- Coordinate demand forecasting with production and logistics to ensure product availability.
- Oversee brand positioning, advertising, and in-store visibility initiatives.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and management reports.
- Develop and manage corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent in Sales & Marketing from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5 -7 years’ sales and marketing management experience, preferably within FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Proven experience in route-to-market management and key account handling.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to grow volumes and margins.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Experience in the maize milling or grain processing industry will be a distinct advantage.
