Omamanya Laboratory Services (Pty) Ltd, a SADCAS-accredited civil engineering testing laboratory, is looking for dedicated, motivated and detail-oriented personnel to join our team.

POSITION: JUNIOR ENGINEERING GEOLOGIST

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct geotechnical field investigations, including test pitting, drilling supervision, soil and rock sampling, and in-situ testing (e.g., DPSH, DCP, etc.).

• Perform geological mapping and terrain assessments to understand surface and subsurface conditions.

• Log boreholes and test pits according to relevant standards, describing soil and rock strata, groundwater conditions, and structural features.

• Ability to work alone on remote sites for extended periods of time.

• Record and analyse field and laboratory data using appropriate software tools.

• Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive geological and geotechnical reports, including factual and interpretative components.

Minimum Requirements:

• Honors BSc degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or BEng in Geotechnical Engineering.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Driver’s License.
