Virtua Technologies (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to urgently join our finance team and provide high-level support and oversight. The successful candidate will work closely with our existing accountant, to strengthen our financial management, compliance, and reporting processes during a critical growth phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting function and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting

• Assist with audit preparations and liaise with auditors (internal and external)

• Prepare management accounts, cash-flow reports, and financial analyses

• Support tax compliance including VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax submissions

• Review and strengthen internal controls, procedures, and reconciliations

• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff

• Work closely with management on budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

• Professional registration (PAAB, ICAN, or SAIPA) is an added advantage

• Minimum 5–7 years experience in a senior accounting role

• Strong understanding of IFRS, audit processes, and NamRA compliance

• Proven experience with multi-company or group structures is highly desirable

• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure

• Immediate availability or short notice period preferred
