Job Title: HSE Inspector Required 

Number of positions: (1) | Internal/External

Division: Mining (Husab site)

Purpose of the Job: An HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that workplaces comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. Their primary responsibility is to protect the health and safety of the workforce and the public by identifying and mitigating risks.

Key Performance Areas:

• • Safety Compliance Inspection and Administrative Effectiveness

    • Conducts regular/routine Safety inspections at the workplace to verify that the workplace is complying with Safety regulations and legislations

    • Ensure that SHE regulations are followed, and in compliance with company Safety Policies and Government Laws.

  • Co-worker Effectiveness

    • Works effectively with others as a member of a team.

    • Supports and creates sound working relationships with co-workers / team members on reactive problems.

  • Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality Effectiveness (Generic)

    • Reporting all SHEQ related incidents / accidents to the Supervisor or Safety Representative as soon as possible, but not later than the working day.

    • Carries out any lawful instruction, in accordance with laid down SHEQ standards, practices, policies, procedures, rules and regulations

Minimum Requirements:

• • Qualifications: Grade 12 certificate, Code B driver’s license is compulsory, SAMTRAC Certificate will be added advantage

  • Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in the SHE fields, Mining experience will be an added advantage

  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
