MEDIPARK ONGWEDIVA – PHARMACIST ASSISTANT

Vacancy: EXTERNAL VACANCY: PHARMACIST ASSISTANT

Job Purpose: To process and analyse pharmaceutical claim remittances from funders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certificate in Pharmacist Assistant
• 2 years’ experience as a Pharmacist Assistant
• Registration with the Health Professional Council of Namibia (Pharmacy Council) as a Pharmacist Assistant

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

• Keeps pharmacy remittances up to date
• Orders stock for the pharmacy
• Receives the stock from the suppliers.
• Captures the stock on the system.
• Checks the daily stock movements.
• Assists the Pharmacy Supervisor with quarterly stock taking.
• Checks the quality of the stock and shelf life.
• Checks patient’s prescription and checks if the medication is in stock.
• Dispenses medication to patients daily under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Advise debtors department on pricing of pharmaceutical stock items
• Keeps patient information confidential.
• Coordinates information between pharmacy and debtor’s department.
• Advice pharmacy buyers on funders rejection trends.
