Water/Diesel Bowser Operators Required

Job Details:

• Number of positions (4) | Internal/External

• Division: Mining (Husab Site)

Purpose of the Job:

The Bowser operator will operate the fuel and/or water bowser equipment and vehicles to supply diesel or water to a fleet of mining equipment including drill rigs, excavators, dozers, trucks and etc, as well water haul roads for construction and to dust suppression.

Key Performance Areas:

• Operating – Drive the bowser to supply fuel, or water to equipment and roads

• Record Keeping – Complete a logbook for fuel and water loaded and supplied equipment

• Site Support – Carry out site such as dust suppression and water supply services.

• Safety – Compliance to all company safety rules and regulations, identity and reports risks.

• Spatial Awareness – High concentration and awareness to safely manoeuvre large equipment

• Communication – With supervisors, dispatcher, and other operators via radio or other means

• Reporting – Inspect equipment, record and report defects, Report hours and work done

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• • Grade 10 or 12 certificate

  • Code B driver’s license is compulsory

  • Dangerous Goods permit for Operating diesel bowser

Experience:

• • At least 3 years’ experience as a diesel, water or any C license type truck

Knowledge and Skills:

• • Good communication skills

  • Pre-start checks

  • General open pit mining knowledge

  • Safe driving and accurate record keeping
