Haul Truck Operators Required

Job Details:

• Number of positions (4) | Internal/External

• Division: Mining (Husab Site)

Purpose of the Job:

The Haul Truck is required to operate haul trucks to transport mining production material including ore and waste rock from loading areas to primary crushers, stockpiles and/or waste dumps in a safe and productive manner to meet production targets.

Key Performance Areas:

• Operating – Safely and efficiently operate the haul truck within the mining operation

• Hauling – Position for loading, hauling and dumping of materials

• Following operators – Work according to dispatch assignments to different destinations

• Safety – Compliance to all company safety rules and regulations, identity and reports risks.

• Spatial Awareness – High concentration and awareness to safely manoeuvre large equipment

• Communication – With supervisors, dispatcher, and other operators via radio or other means

• Reporting – Inspect equipment, record and report defects, Report hours and work done

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• • Grade 10 or 12 certificate

  • Code B driver’s license is compulsory

  • Operator certificate of Competence on 100 tons Tr100A, CAT 777 or Komatsu 785D

Experience:

• • At least 2 years’ experience as a haul truck operator

Knowledge and Skills:

• • Good communication skills

  • Pre-start checks

  • General open pit mining knowledge

  • Safe driving and accurate record keeping
