MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER – CONTRACT

Description

The incumbent shall report to Engineering Manager and be accountable for supporting the execution of mechanical works for a brownfields construction project at Kombat mine, including providing engineering oversight and technical coordination for mechanical designs and installations, ensuring safe integration with existing systems and infrastructure obligations.

CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR – CONTRACT

Description

The incumbent shall report to Construction Manager and be accountable for overseeing and coordinating civil construction works on a brownfields construction project, including supervising civil construction activities, ensuring compliance with engineering designs, safety standards, and project timelines within an existing site.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• A Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.

• A qualification in Construction Management will be advantageous.

• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in civil construction of metallurgical/mining projects, with at least 4+ years in a supervisory role.

• Proven experience working on brownfields projects, preferably in metallurgical/mining sectors.

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and quality control practices.

• Familiarity with Namibian labour laws and local regulations.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; exposure to project management software (MS Project) is an advantage.

• Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel and reside on-site for extended periods.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
