MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER – CONTRACT

Description

The incumbent shall report to Engineering Manager and be accountable for supporting the execution of mechanical works for a brownfields construction project at Kombat mine, including providing engineering oversight and technical coordination for mechanical designs and installations, ensuring safe integration with existing systems and infrastructure obligations.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the mining, metallurgical, or heavy industrial sectors.

• Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping systems in mineral processing plants.

• Experience with brownfield tie-ins, live plant interfaces, and confined space work.

• Familiarity with international engineering standards (ASME, API, ISO).

• Strong understanding of project management principles and construction practices.

• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and project tools (Primavera/MS Project).

• Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel and reside on-site for extended periods.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
