INTEGRATED RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND NATURE CONSERVATION
Accountant – to be based at Opuwo Office
Main roles (Support Kunene People’s Parks):
-
Procurement – purchases of supplies and assets,
-
Maintain an appropriate bookkeeping monitoring system for all parks financial transactions during the financial year,
-
Support developing and implementing a monitoring system as per the financial management guide,
-
Advise parks interim boards on how to improve and strengthen financial management,
-
Develop detailed financial reports (balance on a monthly/quarterly and annual basis) ready for general meetings, annual general meetings, committee meetings and for inspection by general members.

Ensure that Expense books are closed off and submitted timely (monthly).

Ensure that all originals for expense books are submitted to the Windhoek Office and copies are filed correctly at the Opuwo Office monthly.

Any other ad hoc duties assigned by Grants Finance Manager.
The successful candidate’s profile:
-
A holder of a diploma or degree in accounting,
-
Understanding of the Namibian Donor funding,
-
Background experience in financial management, including bookkeeping,
-
Computer literacy particularly Microsoft packages,
-
Facilitation, numeracy and analytical skills,
-
Proficiency in Otjiherero will be an added advantage.
