Unik Construction Engineering Namibia (Pty) Ltd, registered in 2013, located at 26 Rensburger Street, Lafrenz, Windhoek, specializes in larger scale projects ranging from road and bridge construction, water and sewage services, residential, commercial, industrial buildings and infrastructure development.

Senior Accountant Windhoek

Basic requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required. ACCA/CFA/CA preferred, audit firm experience preferred.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction or related industries is preferred.

• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with management software or accounting tools, such as Pastel or Sageone. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is particularly important for financial modeling and analysis.

Advanced requirements:

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Proficiency in financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements specific to the construction industry. This includes preparing financial statements, tax filings, and compliance reports in accordance with IFRS and other relevant regulations.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Experience in developing and managing budgets for construction projects, and ongoing operations.

• Financing: Maintain external good relationships with Bank for facility/Guarantee request, with Insurance for other services

• Team Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership and collaboration skills are necessary for building and motivating teams to achieve financial objectives

• Communication and Presentation Skills: Effective communication skills are essential for presenting financial information to internal and external stakeholders, including executives, investors, lenders, and regulatory authorities.
