The Namibian is looking for a multimedia designer trainee with a passion for storytelling through visuals to jour our one year training programme.

Responsibilities:

• • Produce political news and features across all platforms.

  • Generate exclusive political stories and interviews

  • Initiate ideas for political investigations and analysis

  • Pursue enterprise stories covering the presidency, parliament, municipalities, party politics and others

  • Produce video and audio content

  • Generate and maintain a strong network of sources

  • Work closely with editors and the team to present journalism in innovative ways and across platforms.

  • Ensure all reporting is fact-checked, legally compliant, and meets high ethical and professional standards.

  • Manage multiple stories under tight deadlines, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

Requirements:

• • A degree in journalism, communication, political science, economics or relevant field

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills, with a passion for producing effective and insightful journalism.

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the politics

  • Analyse and interpret political events at high speed and have a passion for telling stories on digital platforms.
