HEAD CHEF

*Main purpose of the job:* To lead and oversee all kitchen operations, managing staff and resources to deliver high-quality, safe, and cost-effective meals that meet the hotel’s standards.

Key performance areas

Manage and inspire the kitchen team, plan and prepare menus, and ensure exceptional food quality. Oversee stock, suppliers, and budgets while maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards. Deliver meals on time, train staff, and work closely with other departments to create an outstanding guest experience.

Requirements: Applicants should posses the flowing qualifications and experience:

– Grade 12
– Diploma (NQF Level 5 or higher) in Professional Cookery, Culinary Arts, or Food Production. Additional training in Food & Beverage or Kitchen Management is an added advantage.
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Chef in a leading supervisory role in a 3- or 4-star comparable hotel or restaurant environment.
– Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
– Proven ability to manage budgets, cost control, and menu development.
