As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Industrial Gas Namibia (IGN) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of: Inventory & Logistics Controller

 

 

Duty Station: Windhoek

 

 

Main Purpose of the Position:

 

 

To ensure the continuous, uninterrupted supply and safeguarding of all commodities IGN trades in, in accordance with
industry best practices.

 

 

Key Performance Areas:

 

 

* Determine and implement optimum stock levels for all inventory items
* Replenish stock regularly to avoid stock-outs
* Identify and report Slow Moving & Redundant stock periodically
* Source non-stock items through suppliers with assistance from Sales Personnel
* Conduct regular Inventory counts, investigate variances, and process adjustments
* Schedule cross-border trucks for gas deliveries to/from South Africa
* Coordinate with Clearing Agents and submit documentation for cross-border shipments
* Monitor vehicle tracking and report major non-conformances to management
* Accurately manage cylinder movement records at all times

 

 

Competency & Knowledge Requirements:

 

 

* Proficiency in Pastel Partner
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Effective communication skills with suppliers, customers, and colleagues
* Indepth knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

 

* Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Stock Controller in a related field
* Valid Code B Driver’s License
* Forklift Training Certificate (up to 5T) – advantageous
* Namibian citizenship required
