REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12
-
Valid Code B License
-
2-3 years’ experience
-
Valid Code of Conduct
-
Experience with off-road driving
DUTIES
-
Assist geologists with geological mapping, trenching, drilling, and sampling
-
Prepare and label sample bags (rock, soil, stream sediment, or core samples)
-
Transport and organize samples to and from collection points and sample storage areas
-
Maintain and clean sampling tools and field equipment
-
Assist in drill rig setup, support, and monitoring during drilling programs
-
Record sample locations using GPS and fill out field logs accurately
-
Carry out basic data entry into databases or field tablets
-
Set up and manage field camps, including organizing supplies and maintaining camp hygiene
-
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures in all field activities
-
Conduct basic site maintenance, such as clearing vegetation and maintaining access routes

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
