VACANCY
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To provide strategic, academic and administrative leadership to the Namibia Business School that will enhance the value and reputation of the Namibia Business School with particular focus on:

Quality innovative academic and executive training programmes

Relevant and significant research output

Resource mobilisation
-
Enhanced visibility at national, regional, and international levels
Responsibilities include developing and implementing effective and efficient governance, administrative human capital management, financial procedures, and fostering an innovative work culture. The role also involves advancing UNAM’s mission and strategy, promoting innovation, and building partnerships with local, national, and international business partners.
ELIGIBILITY:
-
PhD degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field
-
At least ten (10) years of experience in a senior leadership position in the business industry
-
Experience in teaching and academic administration
-
Proven track record in transforming a business school
-
Proven research record
-
Excellent management, entrepreneurial, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
-
Record of resource mobilisation/funding
-
Associate Professor rank is an added advantage
This is a five (5) year performance-based contract, renewable upon satisfactory performance.
SCREENING OF CANDIDATES:

Applicants will be screened and shortlisted by a Search Committee.

All candidates must submit a paper (max. 3-4 typed pages) on their vision, mission, and strategic goals for the next five years, focusing on providing efficient and effective services to the school, faculty, and university.

Top candidates may be required to deliver a presentation to the University Community and to the Search Committee as part of the interview process.
