VACANCY
Minimum Requirements:
Candidate should have a National Vocational Diploma in Preventative Health (Occupational Health and Safety) – NQF Level 5, First Aid and Fire Fighting training certificate and Assessor Training Certificate with at least Two (2) years working experience as a VET Trainer. Must have Communication and good interpersonal skills, innovative and creative.
Purpose:
A VET Trainer is responsible for providing a high-quality teaching and learning experience to Trainees, making ongoing contributions to the academic mission of the Institute in the areas of Assessment, Trainees Support and personal development, industry relations, Academic management and administration in accordance with the Institute strategic goals. Additionally, to design, develop and produce learning and teaching materials and deliver either across a range of manuals or unit standards, ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accordance with the standard requirements of the Namibia Training Authority (NTA).
General Career Description:
Flexibility and ability to report in a timely manner to the Head of Training and Student Services. Flexibility and a willingness to provide a support function are essential. Genuine ability to priorities of tasks and manage workload, ensuring effectiveness in the role, ability to communicate with stakeholders and work together to achieve desired outcomes.
