MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN – ELEVATE

VACANCY:

REQUIREMENTS:

* A Technical qualification in plant and equipment maintenance
* 5 years related experience and/or training equivalent combination of education and experience
* Managerial/ Leadership skills
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* Fluent in English, while other local languages will be an added advantage
* Basic maths skills
* Knowledge in cost administration
* Knowledge in training and development/succession planning
* Code EB driving license will be an advantage

POSITION PURPOSE/ GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist with the development and implementation of a preventative Maintenance system for all plant and equipment
* Record keeping of all equipment working hours/kilometres
* Carry out maintenance services as per relevant schedules on plat and equipment
* Repair breakdowns on all plant and equipment
* Supervise maintenance contractors when outsources services is required
* Develop, implement and manage critical spare part stock items
* Identify and develop production equipment improvements
