PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To perform all general/utility tasks within the production department to achieve maximum productivity by ensuring the correct loading/offloading of trucks, lusern operations and cleaning of the Factories.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Bagging and Stacking Practices
i) Bagging of finished products in quantities as required and according to set standards and specifications
ii) Rip & Dip raw material bags as needed by production, picks up bags which fall off pallets
iii) Loading and offloading of final products on trucks
iv) Loading and offloading of raw materials on trucks

Assisting and supporting Production Department

i) Pre weighing of raw material according to the mixing sheet or as per PLC
ii) Operating KVS PLC and lusern plant as per laid down standards.
iii) Ensure that no damage is caused to products or pallets and proactively identify broken pallets that might damage bags.

Cleaning

i) Dusting, washing and cleaning of electrical panels (outside), beams, floor, motors, cable rack, lights, windows, and corrugated sheets
ii) Cleaning of Storage bins – inside cleaning.
iii) Any waste of product should be picked up immediately and any wastage or leaks from bags should be cleaned immediately.
iv) Any ad-hoc tasks as instructed by Production Controller/Supervisor or as operationally required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

Grade 12 (NQF4) or Grade 10 (NQF2) with 2-year relevant experience.

Proficient in written and spoken English.

Namibian Citizen.

A second and third language will be advantageous
