The role involves creating and developing visual concepts to inspire, inform, and captivate consumers through advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports. Ensure designs align with the company’s brand identity and marketing goals, collaborating with various departments to produce diverse digital and print materials, including social media graphics and website content.
Key Responsibilities:
•Create compelling and innovative visual designs for digital (social media etc) and print media.
•Lead design innovation initiatives to explore new visual concepts, technologies, and creative approaches.
•Develop support mechanisms such as brochures, pamphlets, and presentations to clearly position the product/service in the target market.
•Maintain organized records of all design assets and project files electronically.
•Establish a systematic process to review and approve all branded materials before publication. Take corrective actions as needed to maintain brand standards.
•Streamline brand management processes using digital tools to ensure consistency.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design strategies into overall business strategies.
•Develop a clear and logical information architecture for digital products.
•Create user friendly designs that enhance the overall experience for websites and applications, focusing on layout, colour schemes, and typography.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
•National Diploma (NQF level 6) in graphic design, visual arts, or related field, with 7-10 years’ work experience in a corporate environment.
OR
•Bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in graphic design, visual arts, or related field. A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ work experience in graphic design (Banking sector experience will be an advantage).
•Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, or other relevant tools.
•Good verbal and written communications skills.
•Good customer orientation/focus.
•Good interpersonal skills and ability to contribute to teamwork.
•Attention to detail.
•Good planning and organizing skills.
