ONGOPOLO MINING LIMITED is a mining, development, and exploration company specializing in copper mining in Namibia. The company is seeking suitably qualified candidates for various positions available at its Central Operations (Otjihase/ Matchless Mines), located 35 km outside Windhoek. With plans to restart operations, the company aims to fill positions in the Engineering Department at its Central Operations.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Foreman, the Boilermaker will be responsible for fabricating and installing metal structures, conducting repairs, and adhering to safety protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures.
• Perform welding, repairs, and maintenance tasks for equipment longevity.
• Conduct inspections and adhere to safety standards and regulations.

• Interpret technical drawings, collaborate with teams, and troubleshoot issues.
• Document work activities and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (Section 29 of 1996).
• Work safely at heights as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Recognized Boilermaker Trade Diploma with 4 technical theoretical subjects (N3 Level)
• Minimum of 3 years post-trade test experience

Experience in MIG, SMAW, and GTAW welding processes
