⦁ Purpose of the job
To progressively influence town development within the local economy as well as community context by steering a combination of change elements within business support, development attraction, town representation locally, regionally to nationally; to strengthen divisional capacity in terms of research, administration and marketing, so that programmes are well-informed by actual and relevant data, and that existing services of the function continue to enable focusing and steering efforts (energies) towards deliberate cost-effective local economic development plans and projects and activities.

⦁ Job Requirements
Minimum job qualification and experience
⦁ B- Honours Degree or Four-year B- Degree. (NQF Level 8). from an accredited college or university: major coursework in social science fields to include at least two of the following: Marketing, Development Studies. Economics.
⦁ A total of five years managerial experience, of which three years are at senior professional level in a supervisory capacity (typically C-Upper band), plus three years functional specific experience.

Additional Requirements:
⦁ Must have a Code B Driving License
⦁ Certificate of good conduct
