Position 1x Principal Customs Officer: Excise Management – D1 (Walvisbay)

Director Supervisor Manager: Western Region

Job Purpose To supervise the clearance and enforcement of Excisable products, fuel depots, bunkering, winery, beer, and tobacco warehouses.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

A B-degree in Customs Administration /
International Trade / Business Administration / Commerce / Excise Management / Law (NQF 7).

Minimum Experience:

Eight (8) years relevant experience with five
(5) years on supervisory level.

• Operational Supervision.
• Sound degree of Excise.
• Bonded, manufacturing, cold storage warehouses management in the areas of fuel, oil, beer industries, tobacco and all excisable goods.
• Control and Operational Compliance, Valuation, origin, Classification and Tariffs application.
• Staff Supervision.
• Stakeholder engagement.
• Provide inputs to the Divisional Head regarding the section’s budgetary needs.
