Head Commercial C5 X1
Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA) is looking for Head of Commercial who will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
Purpose of the Job
Marketing existing products and services, developing new products and services, maintaining
and promoting business and investment growth as well as conducting market research and
interpreting market requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinating all business development initiatives and opportunities of the Agency.
• Conducting market research to identify needs of current and future corporate clients.
• collaborating with the Editorial Department and designing innovative products and services to meet existing and future customer needs
• Formulating, directing and coordinating business activities and policies to promote products and services through advertising agencies.
• Negotiating contracts with clients and service providers of the Agency on marketing matters, to manage products and services productions, networks and develop strategies thereof.
• Analysing customer research, current market conditions and competitor’s information to find a sound position of the Agency’s products and services.
• Expanding and developing marketing platforms for the distribution of the Agency’s products and services.
• Managing the productivity of the commercial plans and projects, monitor, review and report on all commercial activities and results.
• Developing and implementing marketing plans and projects for new and existing products and services of the Agency.
• Developing pricing strategies, in consultation with Finance Department, to meet both shortterm and long-term revenue requirements of the Agency while meeting customers’ expectations.
• Formulating, directing and coordinating corporate image activities to promote the NAMPA
brand.
• Negotiating with suppliers the subscription fee agreements and assess news service
relevance
• Ensuring customer good service and satisfaction to boost demand for Agency’s products and services.
• Organizing and host events, including but not limited to, exhibitions, press tours and open
days.
• Sourcing and managing sponsorship opportunities
• Marketing market research activities,planning, developing and implementing public relations strategies
• Ensuring effective customer care through dynamic client relationship strategies.
• Negotiating with suppliers the subscription fee agreements and assess news service
relevance.
• Developing and maintaining a communication strategy with existing and prospective clientele
• Improving NAMPA brand identity through continuous feedback from clients
directing the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of commercial services staff and
oversee their daily activities.
• Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on commercial services matters, as
requested by the CEO.
• Maintaining effectively liaison with other departments of the Agency.
Competency Requirements:
• Proven experience in market research and client relations management.
• Relevant product and industry knowledge.
• Technical marketing planning, implementation and business control skills.
• Strategic thinking and tactical decision making.
• Problem analysis and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and persuasiveness.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Diploma in Marketing and Sales
• At least three (3) years of experience in business development, marketing AND sales as well as managing commercial services
