DEPARTMENT: FINANCE. HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION
lx POST :CASHIER (C2)
Salary Scale: NS 115.068-NS 119.717
Transport Allowance :40% of the basic salary (with a mortgage bond) or 20% of basic salary (without a mortgage bond)
Housing Allowance:85% Employer Contribution
Medical Aid 21.7% Employer Contribution
Pension Benefit 13* Cheque NS 9.589.00
Key Performance Areas:
• Receive payments, process transactions and issue receipts for payments:
• Prepare daily cash-up and/or balancing of the money on a daily basis and
• Handle customers’ accounts-related queries and complaints.
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate
• NQF Level 6 Diploma in Accounting and Finance or equivalent qualification in Commerce. Financial Management. Business Administration. Banking majoring in Accounting and Finance
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in a similar environment
• No criminal record (attach good conduct certificate or proof of application)
• Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by a Namibian Qualification Authority (NQA) Evaluation Report
Additional Special Requirements
• Basic Skills in Finstel Financial System
• Working experience In the Local Authority or in a corporate working environment will serve as an advantage
Desirable Requirements:
• Good command of written and spoken English, as well as non verbal communication;
• Friendly, professional, organised.customer-service oriented, well-mannered, trustworthy, positive attitude towards work and ability to multi-task:
• Numerical Skills Proficiency:
• Basic-to-advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office package (MS Word and Excel).
