1 x POST : TECHNICAL OFFICER (C4)
Salary Scale: NS 219.295-NS 228.155
Transport Allowance :NS7.7O4
Housing Allowance :40% of the basic salary (with a mortgage bond) or 20% of basic salary (without a mortgage bond)
Medical Aid: 85% Employer Contribution
Pension Benefit 13* Cheque :21.7% Employer Contribution

PRIMARY PURPOSE OFTHE JOB
To inspect and approve all building plans and other structures to determine their structural conformity and compliance with specifications and building codes: advising the Council on construction and building works: controlling and managing illegal construction within the townlands of Oniipa: supervising water & sewerage reticulation projects, road construction & maintenance and electricity distribution.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA
• Building Construction Management
• Ensure adherence to regulations and zoning ordinances
• Evaluate building and land use applications for compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and assess development proposals
• Administration of the Division
• Provide technical expertise for infrastructure proiects (water. sev\er. roads, mechanical, electricity and civic buildings)
• Staff supervision
• Contribute to the grovth and sustainability of the community.

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate
• NQF Level6 Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Four (4) years of relevant experience in the civil engineering field, of which two (2) years should have been spent at a supervisory level
• Proficiency in AutoCad/Caddie/Civil Designer
• No criminal record (attach good conduct certificate or proof of application))
• Code B Drivers Licence
• Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by a Namibian Qualification Authority (NQA) Evaluation Report
• Additional Requirements
• Experience In a Local Authority Environment will be an added advantage
