CIVIL ENGINEER: PERWAY – Windhoek Consulting Engineers (PTY) Ltd

Windhoek Consulting Engineers (PTY) Ltd has a vacancy for an Engineer: Perway, experienced in Rail and Rural Transport Engineering. The position is site-based.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain railway track designs, considering safety and efficiency.
Oversee track maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance.
Manage track alignment and geometry to meet project standards.
Implement adjustments for curves, gradients, and superelevation.
Select and test track materials, including ballast and sleepers.
Conduct quality control to ensure compliance with specifications.
Supervise perway construction activities, ensuring proper installation and alignment.
Collaborate with construction teams to address challenges and ensure adherence to timelines.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures during perway operations.
Processing and management of associated reporting/documentation.
Interfacing and managing user-client stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements:

BSc Civil, B Eng Civil, or B Tech (Civil).
At least 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in a similar environment.
Experienced in Rural Roads & Railway type projects.
Design and supervision of civil engineering- and building-type projects.
Project life cycle project management skills.
Fluent Caddie/Autocad and Civil Designer skills.
Exceptional communication, report writing, and computer skills.
Professional registration with ECN.
Valid Driver’s License.
