NAMIBIA HOCKEY UNION IS LOOKING TO APPOINT THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

• MANAGER – SENIOR OUTDOOR MEN
• MANAGER – SENIOR OUTDOOR WOMEN
• MANAGER – SENIOR INDOOR MEN
• MANAGER – SENIOR INDOOR WOMEN
• MANAGER – HOCKEY 5’S WOMEN

Purpose of the position(s):

• Liaison between the parents and coaches.
• Develop and coordinate the team’s activities.
• Ensure team compliance to all relevant tournament requirements pre- and post-tournaments.
• Coordinate all communication on behalf of the team, both internal and external.
• Procure relevant suppliers and service providers for the team (e.g. kit, accommodation), and maintain those relations as required.
  Develop, implement and monitor budget. Post-tournament budget reconciliation.
• Assist/Support the NHU Executive responsible for sponsorships as and when needed.
• Report writing post-tournament.

The position reports to the respective Head Coaches and the NHU Executive for Tours and Tournaments.

Requirements:

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Basic accounting skills.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets.
• Experience of managing a team at club and/or school level (which should have included tours and tournaments) would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of team management systems.

• Candidate must understand and be able to work in the NHU context ensuring transformation and access for all players into the game.
• Candidate must be able to exhibit competency in strategic thinking and operation.
• Candidate must possess people management skills.
