POSITION:                               SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

DUTY STATION:                    HEAD OFFICE – OTJIWARONGO

JOB GRADE:                            C4

PURPOSE

To provide full technical administration support for SAP ERP application and database. Servers Operating Systems, Software-defined datacentre. Network infrastructure. Firewall installations and configurations. Backup and Replication scheduling and monitoring, ensure software licenses and licensing, maintain the entire ICT physical infrastructure, manage ICT projects, and supervision of ICT Systems Technicians. The incumbent will report directly to the Manager: Corporate Services.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, AMONGST OTHERS:

• SAP ERP Systems administration.
• Computers/Servers Operating Systems and Services administration.
• Software-defined datacentre administration.
• Network and cyber security administration.
• Backup and replication administration.
• Microsoft Exchange Server administration.
• Management of ICT projects.
• Users functional support.
• Subordinates supervision.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Computer Science or relevant IT Degree at NQF level 7.
• Certifications in SAP basis technology, Microsoft windows servers and VMware virtualization will be added advantage.
• Two (2) years’ experience in the following:
• SAP basis technology/systems administration and support
• Microsoft Windows or UNIX/Linux Systems administration o Installation, configuration and management of software- defined datacenter o Storage, backup and replication
• Code B driver’s license.

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE:

• Proven skill of SAP ERP basis technology and databases installation, patching, updating, configurations and administration (ECC, S4 HANA, Oracle)
• Professional skill in network infrastructure, topology and equipment configurations (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, Routers, Switches).
• Proficient in VMware hypervisor (Install, Configure, Manage) and windows server network environment (AD, DHCP, DNS, GPO, WSUS, file server, print server).
• Proven knowledge of artificial intelligence cybersecurity appliances installations, configurations and management (Fortinet Firewalls, Darktrace appliances)
• Network storage installations, configurations and management (IBM Storwize, NAS).
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities (Software, Hardware).
• Sound knowledge of computer software applications and tools.
• Computer hardware & software installations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Advanced ability to manage projects and provide leadership.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and strict deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communications, and presentation skills.
