Position : Administration SpecialistWho are we?
Sanlam is a leading Financial Services Institution, which provides services in the fields of Individual Life Insurance, Group Life Insurance, Unit Trusts and Asset Management. To give substance to its objective to be fully-fledged Namibian Insurer, Sanlam is increasingly introducing greater financial and technical expertise.
What will you do?
The candidate will be responsible for administration and sales support to the Junior Business Development Manager and Business Development Manager and the distribution channels.
What will make you successful in this role?
- Assist Junor BDM and BDM with training and relationship building of intermediaries and assistants.
- Manage and track progress of all new business submitted including liaising with Junior BDM and BDM to assist with challenging cases.
- Manage and track progress of all admin instructions submitted including liaising with Glacier admin on SLA’s.
- Attending to office administration (preparing documentation, overall smooth flow of day-to-day tasks).
- Attending to general day-to-day tasks associated with supporting the BDM, Junior BDM, and Compliance when dealing with clients and intermediaries to ensure quick turnaround times.
- Telephone enquiries and written communication.
- Assisting clients/intermediaries with processes & business.
- Distribution of marketing materials (application forms, brochures).
- Work closely with Junior BDM, BDM and Compliance to communicate about panels and distribute tasks accordingly to maximize productivity and know where pressure points are to be addressed.
- Assist JuniorBDM, BDM and compliance officer with ad-hoc projects.
- Attend to all tax certificate queries, issuing, and year-end recon.
- Assist Junior BDM and BDM with reporting functions.
- Conduct yearly data quality of clients & intermediaries.
- Responsible for the upkeep of distribution lists.
- Ensure that Re-FIA forms are completed and processed correctly.
Required profile for job ad : Administration Specialist
Qualification and Experience
- Grade 12 and 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the investment / collective investment service industry.
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in the LISP environment – should have worked directly with Intermediaries and Distribution Managers.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of administrative processes
- Fluent in English
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Valid Driver’s License
- Computer literate – this includes Microsoft Outlook , Excel, Word & PowerPoint
