Our client, a leading plasterboard manufacturing plant in Arandis, Namibia, is seeking a skilled and experienced Mixing Station Operator to join their team. As the Mixing Station Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the mixing station equipment to ensure accurate and efficient preparation of gypsum slurry for plasterboard production. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to quality and safety will be vital for the success of their manufacturing operations.

1. Operate and maintain the mixing station equipment following standard procedures and safety guidelines.
2. Prepare gypsum slurry by accurately measuring and mixing raw materials according to specified formulas.
3. Monitor and adjust mixing parameters to achieve the desired slurry consistency.
4. Conduct regular quality checks on the gypsum slurry to ensure proper blending and chemical composition.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the mixing process.
6. Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on the equipment.
7. Collaborate with the production team to ensure a continuous supply of gypsum slurry.
8. Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
9. Assist in training and mentoring new mixing station operators.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in mechanical or chemical operations are a plus.
• Proven experience operating mixing station equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in gypsum or similar slurry preparation.
• Strong understanding of mixing processes, material properties, and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with automated control systems and data interpretation.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment while following safety protocols.
• Good communication skills and effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 production operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Physical fitness to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
