Duties:

 

• Provide a maintenance and repair service to all Operational Plants by supervising, co-ordinating and controlling the Maintenance Workshop staff and resources in accordance with Engineering, Safety and Company standards.
• Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting and analyzing production needs and performance records& data.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment.
• Fast and efficient handling of all breakdowns.
• Ordering of parts, equipment and materials as needed.
• Initiating & Co-ordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
• Attend daily Production Meetings in order to share workshop scheduling information with production foremen and managers and to receive information on additional service needs.
• Revising Schedules & Monitoring Progress.
• Establishing production priorities.
• Assist in developing procedures and systems.
• Communication on Job expectations.
• Planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
• Awareness & on the Job training to employees as well as skills development
• Ensure a productive and engaged team by enacting effective supervisory practices as well as working relationship with trade union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
• Assist with investigating issues, identifying solutions & recommending action!

 

Educational Requirements:

 

• Grade 12 Computer Literature (MS Office)
• Proficient in English Language
• 10 Years proven experience in the relevant field whereof 5 Years
• Supervisory Level National Trade Certificate/Diploma (Diesel Mechanic with Experience on Earthmoving Machines)
• Valid Code 08 Drivers License
