Vacancy Opening: Security Manager (D Upper)

The incumbent, being a Security Manager, and shall be responsible for among other duties, the following key performance areas:

• Responsible for developing and executing the security strategy in conjunction with the Head of Security at Corporate office and the Vice: President Operations.
• Responsible for the entire security and safety of staff, assets, and activities present on site including perimeter fencing and surroundings.
• Sets up, maintain, and inspects the execution of all operational and technical standards related to security, protection, and surveillance.
• Coordinates the deployment and installation, modifications, or replacements of elements, whether personnel, procedures, or physical devices, related to the site security layout.
• Monitors compliance with operational standards with the appropriate personnel and necessary equipment for the fulfilment of their functions.
• Financial Management for the department (budgeting and cost management)
• Provision of leadership for the security team.

Ideally, you will have:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology / Security Management /Policing/Criminal Justice studies.
• Post Graduate qualification in the same study fields shall be an advantage.
• Certifications: ASIS / Industrial Security Professional / Certified Investigator.
• Post-secondary training in security management is preferred.
• 15 years’ experience as a security manager or related field e.g., police or military services
• Police, military, public service experience will be an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge on basic computer programs and security technologies (CCTV, access control, Alarms, fire detection, etc.)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to monitor surveillance systems and respond to emergency situations. (First aid certified)
• Clean criminal record
• Candidate may be required to undergo further security screening e.g., background, polygraph, etc.
