Namibia Breweries Limited has a new vacancy, on management level, reporting to the Digital & Technology Manager. This role is part of the Digital & Technology (D&T) department at Namibia Breweries Limited.
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The Technology Manager leads and guides the work of the technology team, determines the technological needs of the company, and implements IT systems to fulfil organizational requirements. The role is also responsible for implementing the IT policy, IT governance and objectives, in line with the Global Technology strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes that conform to global guidelines.
- Lead the Technology function.
- Maintain essential IT operations, including management and monitoring of vendors.
- Serve as NBLs point of contact for technology-related matters.
- Monitor performance of IT systems and processes to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
- Ensure the preparation and execution of the Annual Plan (budget) for the Technology domain and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems, IT Infrastructure, and software packages.
- Guide the helpdesk team in setting general processes, roles and responsibilities.
- Provides advise to all relevant stakeholders to support decision-making, adhering to rules, IT policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Assess and recommend vendors for new hardware and software, as well as ensure vendor Management through the underpinning contracts.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices, and evaluate them for applicability.
- Define requirements and formulate service level agreements (SLA) with internal and external parties and ensures the execution of the agreement.
- Managing non-adherence to SLA and putting remediation plans in place.
- Ensure the security and compliance of the information systems, communication lines and equipment.
- Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all backup and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related Technology field.
- Master degree in information technology, computer science, or a related technological field, will be an added advantage.
- 10 years experience in IT management.
- Experience with or knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, current equipment and technologies, system performance monitoring, and cloud and mobile solutions.
- Expertise in managing the implementation, configuration, and testing of solutions.
- Strong understanding of business and processes.
- Experience with defining IT strategies and roadmaps.
- Proven experience in managing a team.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical processes to business stakeholders.
