Community Journalist Internship

The Namibian is looking for a community journalist intern to join our team for six months. The Internship will be based in Windhoek and will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in reporting on issues related to gender-based violence in Namibia.
Duration: 1 July 2023 to 31 December 2023

Responsibilities:

⦁ Report on stories on gender-based violence and social issues in Namibia
⦁ Attend events and meetings
⦁ Create multimedia content, such as videos and podcasts

Requirements:

⦁ An interest in human-interest reporting
⦁ Strong writing and research skills
⦁ The ability to work independently and as part of a team
⦁ A commitment to social justice
