Economics Reporter Internship

The Namibian is offering a six-month internship to an aspiring economics reporter to be based in Windhoek. The internship will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in business journalism.
Duration: 1 July 2023 to 31 December 2023

Responsibilities:
⦁ Report on business news in an understandable manner
⦁ Assist with short-and long-term stories
⦁ Interpret and simplify financial statements for news
⦁ Research and use data to drive journalism
⦁ Request, access and glean information through public records
Preference will be given to youthful economics and accounting graduates who want to practice business journalism in the long term.
