Veya is looking to source a Field Service Engineer (Technician) who has completed their internship and has at least 1 year’s experience.

REQUIREMENTS

⦁ A degree in Information Technology will be an advantage
⦁ Certificate in at least 1 Microsoft Desktop Exam
⦁ Certificate in N+or A+
⦁ Experience in Desktop Support
⦁ Must have ATM Experience
⦁ Be able to work overtime and standby
⦁ Be able to work under pressure
⦁ Should have a valid driver’s license
⦁ Be a Namibian citizen

JOB DESCRIPTION

⦁ The FSE is responsible for installing and maintaining all hardware, and software specified in our Service Level Agreements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

⦁ Troubleshoot all technology issues
⦁ Be familiar with all hardware and software
⦁ Be familiar with network operating system
⦁ Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
⦁ Make recommendations about the purchase of technology resources
⦁ Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network operating system
⦁ Resolves or escalates THE CLIENT user inquiry and problem phone calls using the product and IT expertise through user coaching and remote connectivity
⦁ Decides when to escalate issues if a resolution cannot be identified quickly or when support documentation is lacking
⦁ Determines the root cause of issues encountered and accurately documents resolutions in Siemens call tracking system
⦁ Assists THE CLIENT users, and THE CLIENT IT departments with corrective actions and preventative measures.
⦁ Respond to e-mail questions and issues in a quick and courteous and professional manner
