DESCRIPTION

At APS, we are in the business of moving people and goods quickly, efficiently, and safely. We are looking for a logistics officer to join our team and help us maintain our high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, transportation, and supply chain management. He or she will be responsible for overseeing the movement of goods and people, as well as coordinating with different departments to ensure smooth operations. The most successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills.

REQUIREMENTS

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for all logistics-related inquiries
Oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s supply chain, including but not limited to inventory control, warehousing, transportation, and customer service
Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain
Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible terms
Monitor trends in the logistics industry and keep abreast of new technologies and methods to ensure the company is using the most up-to-date and efficient practices
Manage the budget for the logistics department and track spending to ensure it remains within allocated limits
Prepare reports on the status of the supply chain and present findings to upper management
Coordinate with other departments within the company to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods and services
Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and efficient manner
Train and supervise staff members working in the logistics department
Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other partners
Perform other duties as assigned
