Purpose of the job
To establish the specialized Human Resources systems, procedures, and HR-technical services within the department that will support all line functions within OTC in managing their staff complement and functional areas professionally and efficiently; does this by establishing and managing a comprehensive HR Systems Database; administrating recruitment and selection processes and tools and an institution-wide induction program, by maintaining job profiles, administrating remuneration scales and payroll services, and by providing HR-technical support to all line functions in the processes associated with competence analyses and individual development planning, as well as in administrating an employee wellness program and the discipline and grievance procedures.
Job Requirements
Minimum job qualification and experience
⦁ B-Degree, (NQF Level 7), from an accredited college or university;
Major Coursework in any of the following: Human Resources. Industrial Psychology or Business Administration. (Non-Namibian qualifications should be accompanied by the NQA evaluation certificate).
⦁ A total of five years managerial experience, of which three years at senior professional level in a supervisory capacity, plus three years functional specific experience.
Additional Requirements:
⦁ Must have a Code B Driving License
⦁ Must be Computer literacy- able to work with micro soft programs, especially spreadsheets. Knowledge of PAYDAY payroll system or similar payroll packages will be an added advantage.
