The main purpose of the role is to work in direct partnership with businesses and functional
leads to maximize performance and potential, and support assigned departments in the
delivery of objectives through advising on people management issues and organizational
solutions, by providing appropriate and effective Human Resources solutions to business
challenges at a reasonable cost.
The incumbent will report to the Manager: Human Resources Business Partnering and
be accountable for the: HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Legal, safety, health, and environmental compliance as well as promoting a safety
culture, systems, and design in the areas of responsibility.
• Lead by example by living the company purpose and values.
• Manage stakeholder relationships by building long-term, trusting relationships with
management and colleagues within the assigned departments.
• Implement and manage the recruitment and selection policy and Talent Management
Strategy, to ensure optimal sourcing of the right people in the right positions, at the
right time.
• Administer all employee movements at various career levels up to middle
management.
• Ensure proper implementation of and adherence to the performance management
system and process, by providing training and understanding of the process and tools.
• Provide guidance to Line Management on succession planning with a specific focus on
critical roles and expertise skills to ensure the sustainability, growth, and performance of
the business.
• Support and assist with retention strategies and development plans.
• Oversee that all disciplinary and grievance issues are attended to and resolved
timeously.
• Monthly and statutory reporting.
• Ensure company compliance with all labor practices, procedures, and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management/Industrial Psychology;
Honors Degree will be an added advantage.
• 5-8 years of experience in Human Resources management of which 3 years should
be at a senior level.
• Experience in the mining industry will be an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of Human Resources practices and the relevant labor legislation.
• A positive attitude, ability to influence others positively, and warm temperament is
highly desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate (MS Office package), with knowledge of any Human Resources
Management Information System.
• Code B drivers’ license
