MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
National Diploma in Water Engineering/ Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification on NQF Level 6
Eight (8) years of relevant experience in water infrastructure management and maintenance
J Skills in Plumbing/Pipe fitting, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Good Housekeeping, dosing, and treating groundwater.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Supervises and carries out plumbing work;
Carry out preventative plumbing and maintenance work on water piping systems, sewerage, and plumbing equipment;
Perform inspections on water systems and plumbing equipment for plumbing work;
Execute planned repair and maintenance work on the water system;
Examine faulty piping systems to detect plumbing problems;
Ability to dose and treat groundwater within the town;
Assist with the procurement of piping materials and fittings for water infrastructure
Evaluate and monitor water infrastructure and usage
Inspection of illegal connections and apply the necessary steps

REMUNERATION AND BENEFIT

A competitive remuneration package that includes a basic salary of N$290,189.43, Annual and Sick Leave, Pension Fund (21.7% Council contribution), Medical Aid (85%/15%), 13th Cheque, Housing Allowance (40% of basic salary if you own a house with a mortgage bond and 20% if you do not own a house).
