The Challenge:
Namdeb is looking for motivated enthusiastic Accounting Interns to join our team. In this role you will gain experience and learn essential industry skills by assisting our team of accountants with cost and management accounting, and project, financial, and commercial accounting practices. These positions will be based in Oranjemund and Windhoek respectively.
Oranjemund: Key areas of learning will be Cost and Management accounting, as well as Corporate Finance.
Windhoek: Key areas of learning will be Financial Reporting and Commercial.
The Ideal Applicant
• B. Comm, or equivalent recognized degree majoring in the following subjects:
⦁ Management Accounting,
⦁ Corporate Finance,
⦁ Financial Accounting and
⦁ Taxation
⦁ Code 08 driver’s license
⦁ Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel
⦁ No experience is required; the candidate should have a strong will to learn.
Job Specific competencies Include:
⦁ Applicant should be results orientated and display excellent communication skills.
⦁ Have the ability to be discreet when handling sensitive financial information.
⦁ Thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
⦁ Detailed Oriented
⦁ Analytical Skills
⦁ Applicants will be required to undergo assessments.
⦁ The successful candidates will be responsible to source own accommodation and should be willing to travel to and from Oranjemund.
