Purpose of the job:
To plan, direct and coordinate the Operations Department by formulating appropriate policies, procedures, and operational strategies. Controls and maintains the fish supply chain, storage, and distribution infrastructure to the various outlets.
Key Performance Areas:
⦁ Formulate departmental policies, procedures, and strategies.
⦁ Oversees the procurement offish product, storage/warehousing, packaging, stock levels.
⦁ Oversees transportation and distribution of products across all fish shops.
⦁ Manage the implementation of quality control standards.
⦁ Manage the overall departmental administration, budget, and cost control.
⦁ Provide project management expertise and guidance.
⦁ Oversees, guide and manage departmental performance and people.
⦁ Responsible to oversee effective fish shop administration and management in terms of cost, equipment, and labour.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
⦁ A Degree at NQF level 7 in Business Administration, Operations/Logistics, or related field.
⦁ A minimum of 10 years working experience in the similar position in fishing industry or similar business environment and a minimum of 5 years in a managerial / senior supervisory position.
⦁ Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is compulsory.
⦁ Acode B driver’s license is mandatory.
