The Walvis Bay Corridor Group (WBCG) is a public-private initiative, established in the year 2000, to focus on promoting the ports of Walvis Bay and Lüderitz as the entry and exit point for trade between southern Africa and the rest of the world.
As part of the W8CG’s objectives to create capacity and increase trade flows along three main transport corridors, we are hereby seeking to recruit the following hard-working, qualified and committed, skilled, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic and high-performance culture based at our Head Office in Windhoek,

The Human Resources (HR) Officer will perform the human resource functions of the WBCO and other projects under the supervision of the Finance, HR and Administration Manager in accordance with the goals and objectives of the organisation and requirements of corporate governance and HR principles. He/She must be able to work independently, maintain a proper nHR function and manage the portfolio appropriately. The HR Officer reports to the Finance, HR and Administration Manager of the WBCG.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Human capital policy development;
- Ensure legal compliance to Human Resources requirements;
- Human capital administration;
- Employee & industrial relations management;
- Recruitment, selection, staffing 4 contract management;
- Establish and conduct orientation, capacity building and training programmes
- Manage employee performance, monitoring and evaluation programme,
- Digitise the human capital function;
- Manage employee wellness & safety programme,
- Manage team building programmes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree in HR management;
- Proven experience as HR officer or HR administrator;
- Understand labor laws and disciplinary procedures;
- Valid Code D driver’s license,
- Teamwork skills and ability to negotiate,
- Good communication and interpersonal skills,
- Good writing and administrative skills,
- Thoroughness, honesty, accuracy and attention to detail;
- Namibian citizenship
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and able to work in a high-performance environment.
We offer a market-related remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
