MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
National Vocational Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 5); First Aid Training Certificate; Fire Fighting Training Certificate With at least 1 year work experience as an instructor.
Knowledge of TVET Assessment. Teaching and Learning and Training Materials Development
GENERAL CAREER DESCRIPTION
An instructor is responsible for providing a high-quality teaching and learning experience to Trainees, making ongoing contributions to the academic mission of the Institute in the areas of Assessment, Trainees Support and personal development, industry relations, academic management and administration in accordance with the Institute’s strategic goals. Additionally, to design, develop and produce learning and teaching materials and deliver either across a range of manuals or unit standards, ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accordance with the standard requirements of the Namibia Training Authority (NTA).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Flexibility and a willingness to provide a support function are essential; Places a high value on delivering excellent customer services throughout all aspects of work to both internal and external customers; Genuine ability to priorities and manage workload and adapt and accommodate high priority tasks, ensuring effectiveness in the role; Ability to communicate with stakeholders and work together to achieve desired outcomes
