(Geological Assistant/Geotech Assistant)
Afritin Mining Namibia (Pty) Ltd is currently in a brownfield exploration project phase doing infill drilling
to update the Lithium and Tantalum Resources, within the pegmatite hosted tin deposits at Uis in the
Erongo Region. The vacancy of a Geological Assistant/Geotech Assistant exists at the Uis Mine, Namibia
and the position reports to the Exploration Geologist.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure Safety standards are adhered to by doing risk assessments and toolbox talks, as well as doing
PTOs on all geological tasks.
• Supervise and assist with RC Sampling to ensure that procedures are followed.
• Supervise and assist with diamond drill core mark-ups, core cutting and core sampling.
• Supervision of Field Assistants on day-to-day basis.
• Perform ad hoc duties upon request by the Geologist.

Key Requirements:
• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in the Geology field exploration, drilling and sampling
environment, preferably with both RC and Diamond drilling in the mining industry.
• Proven analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Basic level of computer literacy.
• Valid BE driver’s license is a prerequisite.
