DESCRIPTION
A vacancy exists for a Biology Tutor, reporting to the Education Officer at the Rӧssing Foundation. The
successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic tutoring services, guiding and assisting
students with homework, problem solving and test preparation.

Key performance areas
• Providing classroom tutorials; instructing
learners both in-person and over video
chat/conferencing/digital platform facilities;
assisting students with homework, projects,
test preparation, assessment, papers,
research, experiments, and other academic
tasks; identifying areas of improvement and
helping set goals for exams; conduct
practice tests.
• Developing and distributing teaching
materials to supplement classroom
lessons, practical sessions, and outreach
programme, including study guides, digital
resources, and online lessons.
• Providing students with positive and/or
constructive feedback; offering feedback on
progress to students’ parents, funders,
school inspectors, and others as
appropriate.

Minimum requirements
• A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Education
specializing in Biology on NQF level 7;
OR
• A recognized Bachelor of Science Degree
specializing in any relevant specialized field
of Biology, Molecular Biology, or Zoology
on NQF level 7;
• A minimum of five (5) years experience in
teaching/tutoring/lecturing and a thorough
knowledge of a specific academic subject.
