Job Description
Treatment of clinical cases and supervision of students treating companion animals at UNAM Veterinary Academic Hospital. Lecturing veterinary students on selected topics as determined by the Head of the Department. Conduct practical sessions in the Skills lab/wet lab, with models and with live animals. Supervise and conduct continuous assessments of students in clinical rotations. Active participation in research and community service in the School of Veterinary Medicine
Requirements
BVM or equivalent qualification. Unconditional Registration as a Veterinarian in Namibia, with at least 5 continuous years of clinical experience in all companion animals, including canine, feline and equine patients. Experience in cage bird and exotic animal medicine will be an advantage. Experience in mentoring junior clinical staff in the context of a veterinary hospital in companion animal clinical practice including surgery and internal medicine is a recommendation. Clinical expertise will be practically assessed in shortlisted candidates. After hours and weekend duties on a rotational basis will be required.
