Description

Purchasing/procuring company wide products, according to the right specifications and quantities.
Ensure customer satisfaction by attending production and shut down meetings.
Set up tender documentation for approval by Supervisor.
Approved new vendors
Ensure new suppliers are registered on the Syspro system
Monitor vendor performance (quality, delivery times)
Review and correct stock descriptions daily.
Supervise warehousing and storage of stock.
Maintain strict control over inventory levels.
Monitor budget variances and implement corrective action if necessary.
Monitor overtime and plan work to ensure overtime is minimized.
Oversee the arrival of shipments.
Ensure correct maintenance of systems of recording, managing and reporting of supply activity, and auditing of transactions.
Ensure obsolete or redundant assets are disposed of in a commercial manner that recovers the most financial benefit for the operation.

Requirement(s)
Diploma/bachelor’s degree in supply chain management
5 years’ experience in a supply chain environment of which 2 years should have been in a supervisory position, preferably in the mining industry
Import/Export experience
Computer literate, Microsoft office
Problem solving skills. Able to do deep dives and determine true root cause
Syspro Experience will be an added advantage
Valid BE driver’s licence.
